The presence of dust bugs in the house is a problem that many people struggle with. Contrary to appearances, they are not only attracted to dust, so regular cleaning may not be enough. We tell you how to get rid of pests once and for all.

Dustworms are also called dustworms, dustworms and book lice. These are small insects that usually measure about 1 mm. They have well-developed eyes and long antennae. When they appear individually, they are almost unnoticeable. Only when we see the whole group do we wonder where they came from in the apartment and how to get them out. Fortunately, there is a home remedy that will help you get rid of them.

Microscopic bugs in the house. What do biters like?

Bites love moisture. They most often appear in places where humidity exceeds 60%. They also live in forests, meadows and tree bark. They can enter the house through windows, ventilation ducts and leaks in the walls. If you live next to a forest or wet areas, you must unfortunately take into account that mischief-makers may appear in your apartment. It is not without reason that they are also called book lice.

They like to live in books, because the moisture contained in them is an ideal shelter for them, and they treat paper as a shelter. So the likelihood of you bringing home dustworms in books you borrow from the library is high. In addition, they like to hide in loose products such as groats, rice, and breakfast cereals.

Dustworms. How to get rid of pests?

Mischief makers most often appear in the bathroom, kitchen, attic and in wardrobes with clothes that have not been used for a long time. If you want to get rid of them, first of all you need to reduce the humidity level in your home. The recommended level is 40-60%. Check if any pipes are leaking and if the windows are not leaking. Make sure to clean it regularly and move furniture away from the walls for better ventilation. Do not leave food leftovers on the counter and throw them away immediately. Place wipes soaked in the selected essential oil, e.g. lemon, orange or lime scented, in various places around the house. Add a little vinegar and a few drops of lemon juice to the water for washing floors. Wash floors, countertops and cabinets with the resulting mixture. The refreshing citrus scent will deter dust bugs. If you feel like it, vote in our poll below.
