Spartak beat Lokomotiv with a score of 3:2 in the RPL match
Moscow “Spartak” defeated the capital’s “Lokomotiv” in the match of the 26th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL). This was reported by a Lenta.ru correspondent.
The meeting took place at the Lukoil Arena stadium and ended with a score of 3:2 in favor of the hosts. In the 44th minute, red-and-white midfielder Theo Bongonda converted a penalty to give the team the lead. In the 50th minute, striker Timur Suleymanov equalized the score. In the 56th minute, midfielder Jesus Medina again brought Spartak ahead. In the 67th minute, midfielder Daniil Khlusevich increased the team’s advantage. Four minutes later, striker Vladislav Sarveli reduced the gap.
Thus, after 26 matches, Spartak ranks fourth in the RPL standings, with 42 points. Lokomotiv is in fifth place with 41 points. Zenit St. Petersburg is in the lead with 50 points.
In the next match, Spartak will play away against Paris Nizhny Novgorod on May 5. Lokomotiv will host Rostov a day later.
