Leverkusen seeks a draw against Stuttgart and maintains a chance to win the German title undefeated

Already champion Bayer Leverkusen hosted third-placed Stuttgart this Saturday, for the 31st round of the German championship. The game ended in a 2-2 draw.

The team led by Xabi Alonso thus took another step towards the undefeated Bundesliga title. With three matches remaining, Bayer Leverkusen have 25 wins and six draws in the 31 games played so far.

Excited, the team returns to the field to face Roma this Thursday, in the semi-finals of the Europa League. Stuttgart hosts Bayern Munich next Saturday, in the Bundesliga.

Right at the beginning of the second half, in the 2nd minute, German Chris Fuhrich hit a beautiful left shot, after a ball hit the post, to open the score in favor of Stuttgart. Denis Undav added another for the visitors at 11.

Amine Adli quickly pulled one back for the champions, in the 16th minute, with an assist from full-back Grimaldo.

In the 30th minute of the second half, Xabi Alonso introduced starters Wirtz and Boniface to play. Strengthened, his team began to score and seek a draw.

In the last play of the match, in the 51st minute, Andrich caught a free pass in the area and equalized for Leverkusen, keeping their title chances undefeated.
