World champion Alexei Tereshchenko called on Russian hockey players to go to the NHL
Three-time world champion and Gagarin Cup winner Alexei Tereshchenko called on Russian hockey players to leave. His words are quoted by “Championship”.
“I think that we need to try, we need to go. You can always come back here. You have to try. I am for the guys to leave,” said the athlete. In his opinion, the presence of a larger number of Russian players in the National Hockey League (NHL) will lead to the development of domestic sports.
On January 26, 2018 Olympic champion Sergei Mozyakin, who now holds the post of assistant head coach of Metallurg, supported the desire of the club’s young players to leave for the NHL. He believed that hockey players should develop.
Tereshchenko won the world championships with the Russian team in 2008, 2009 and 2012. He won the Gagarin Cup as part of the Kazan Ak Bars.
