Director General of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) Veronika Loginova expressed offense due to the actions of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) towards the country. Her words are quoted by TASS.
Loginova stated that the employees were offended by the statements of the head of WADA, Witold Banka, that were offensive to the Russian anti-doping system. She drew attention to the fact that important work is carried out by a small staff with low salaries.
On April 19, it became known that Russia had not paid its mandatory contributions to WADA in 2023. The amount is $1.267 million.
On September 22 last year, WADA stated that RUSADA had not met the requirements to restore its status, since the code was not integrated into national legislation.
