Commentator Dmitry Guberniev believes that Russia is now an unsportsmanlike country
Well-known sports journalist Dmitry Guberniev called Russia an unsportsmanlike country. His words are quoted by Sport 24.
“Our sport has been on the sidelines for three years now. Russia is a non-sports country. Now it is difficult to check whether Russian sports are far behind or not. We have fallen behind and are falling behind,” Guberniev said. According to him, there are two main tasks now: to return to international tournaments as soon as possible and to develop children’s and youth sports even more actively.
Earlier, Guberniev sent the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, who said that Russian athletes would not be welcome at the 2024 Olympic Games. “Hidalgo is lying! A huge number of French and Parisians are in love with the Russian Federation. I know dozens, if not hundreds of examples when Russians came to Paris even after the start of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and felt almost at home there,” the commentator said.
