Kanchelskis said that in the current situation he is unlikely to be included in the Premier League Hall of Fame
Former Manchester United and Russian national football team player Andrei Kanchelskis assessed the possibility of inclusion in the English Premier League (EPL) Hall of Fame. His words are quoted by TASS.
According to him, in the current situation he is unlikely to end up there, but there have been conversations about it. “Representatives of the Premier League contacted me, we still communicate, there are no problems with that. Now nothing depends on me. Time will tell,” he said.
Kanchelskis played for Manchester United from 1991 to 1995. As part of the club, the midfielder became the champion of England twice – in the 1992/1993 and 1993/1994 seasons. He was also recognized by Mancunian fans as the best player of the season. In addition, in England the midfielder played for Everton, Manchester City and Southampton.
There are currently 22 players in the Premier League Hall of Fame, including John Terry, Eric Cantona, Steven Gerrard, David Beckham, Alan Shearer and others. In addition, there are two coaches there – Arsene Wenger and Alex Ferguson.
