Aston Villa announces contract extension for manager Unai Emery

This Tuesday (23), Aston Villa announced on its social networks that it has renewed coach Unai Emery’s contract until 2027. The French commander is having a great season with the English club, which still dreams of a place in the Champions League.

“Aston Villa is pleased to announce that manager Unai Emery has agreed a contract extension until 2027,” says the post on Aston Villa’s official X.

Aston Villa is currently in fourth place in the English Championship standings, qualifying for the Champions League for the 2024/25 season. The club has not competed in the main European club competition since 1983. Furthermore, Unai Emery’s team is in the semi-finals of the Conference League against Olympiacos of Greece. Aston Villa have not won a title since 2001.

Since 2022 in the English team, Unai Emery has been in charge of 77 games, recording 44 wins, 14 draws and 19 defeats.
