Philadelphia signed Russian goalkeeper Fedotov to a two-year contract

The National Hockey League (NHL) Philadelphia Flyers signed a two-year contract with Russian goaltender Ivan Fedot. Journalist Darren Dreger reported this on social media. X.

According to the source, the goalkeeper’s average annual salary will be $3.25 million. If the parties had not reached an agreement, Fedotov would have become an unrestricted free agent in the summer.

Fedotov transferred to Philadelphia on March 29 and made his debut for the club on April 2. Previously, he terminated his contract with CSKA Moscow by mutual consent.

In the summer of 2022, Fedotov’s attempt to move to Philadelphia failed. The Russian was supposed to go to the United States, but he was detained on suspicion of evading military service. After this, the athlete served a year in the Navy and resumed his career at CSKA.
