Barça may demand a replay against Real Madrid due to a disallowed goal
Barcelona President Joan Laporta said that the club may demand a replay of the match of the 32nd round of the Spanish Championship with Real Madrid. His words are quoted by the Instant Foot account on the social network X.
This development of events is possible due to the episode with the Catalans’ disallowed goal in the first half. “We will ask the Technical Committee of Referees and the Spanish Football Federation to provide us with all the footage taken during the game. If it is confirmed that there was a goal, we do not rule out that we will demand a replay,” Laporta threatened.
The meeting took place on April 21 and ended with the victory of Real Madrid with a score of 3:2. In the first half, after a shot from Barça player Lamin Yamal, the ball could have crossed the Real goal line. The chief referee of the match signaled that there was no goal, and then confirmed his decision after consulting with the video assistant.
Thanks to the victory, Real scored 81 points and strengthened its leadership in the Spanish championship. Barcelona is 11 points behind Los Blancos.
