Vinícius Júnior becomes the Brazilian with the most goals in the history of El Clásico

Vinícius Júnior became the Brazilian with the most goals scored in the history of the classic between Real Madrid and Barcelona when he found the net in his team’s 3-2 victory, last Sunday, at the Santiago Bernabéu, in the Spanish Championship.

The striker revealed by Flamengo surpassed Evaristo de Macedo and Ronaldo Fenômeno, both with six goals, by finding the net for the seventh time in the classic against Barcelona.

At Real Madrid since 2018, Vinícius has faced Barcelona 17 times, the team he has played against most in his career. Vini’s first “El Clásico” was on February 6, 2019, in the semi-finals of the Spanish Cup. In that match, the teams tied 1-1.

Vinícius Júnior’s first goal against Barcelona only came in his fourth “El Clásico”, on March 1, 2020, when he opened the scoring in Real’s 2-0 victory over Barça in the Spanish Championship.
