Bayern Munich continues to look for a successor to Thomas Tuchel, who will leave the team’s technical command at the end of the season. After the first options did not materialize, the German club is approaching an agreement with Zinédine Zidane, as reported by the Spanish newspaper Sports worldthis Friday.
According to Sports world, negotiations between Bayern and Zidane are already in the final stretch, with the Frenchman very close to reaching an agreement with the club. The coach would have even made recommendations for signings for the transfer window.
The greatness of the German club, the stability of a medium to long-term project and the possibility of fighting for all the season’s titles were the factors that, according to the Spanish newspaper, convinced Zidane to take over a team again.
Since the announcement of Thomas Tuchel’s departure when the European season came to an end, Bayern Munich’s first option was Spaniard Xabi Alonso, but the deal became unviable after the coach confirmed that he will remain at Bayer Leverkusen.
Afterwards, the German club looked for the return of coach Julian Nagelsmann, who renewed his contract with the German team this Friday, and ended his possibilities of commanding Bayern.

Zidane only coached Real Madrid throughout his coaching career, between 2016 and 2018 and again between 2019 and 2021. He won the Champions League three times in a row and also won the Spanish Championship twice.
Since leaving Real Madrid in June 2021, the Frenchman has not taken on any work. Zidane sought to coach the French national team, but Didier Deschamps’ continuation in the role did not allow his arrival.
Other clubs, such as PSG and Manchester United, would have tried to sign the former player, but without success.
