World champion Tuktamysheva joked about her pants falling off at a show in Vladivostok
World and European figure skating champion Elizaveta Tuktamysheva on Instagram (the social network is prohibited in the Russian Federation; belongs to the Meta corporation, which is recognized as extremist in Russia and is banned) reacted ironically to the incident with her pants falling off at the show.
“With a slight movement of the hand, the trousers turn… into elegant shorts!” — the athlete joked, adding that now everyone understood what the phrase “jump out of your pants” means.
The incident occurred on April 17 during the figure skater’s demonstration performance to Rihanna’s songs at a show in Vladivostok. As planned, she was supposed to first take off her jacket, and then her pants, and remain in a black overalls with shorts. However, the pants unzipped prematurely while performing the jump.
Tuktamysheva missed the 2023/2024 season. She explained this by saying that she wants to spend more time with loved ones, develop, get enough sleep, relax and work on personal projects.
