On loan from Palmeiras, Rafael Navarro has stood out in recent MLS games

Striker Rafael Navarro has been on loan from Palmeiras to Colorado Rapids, from the USA, since July last year. Despite a lackluster start for the North American club, the Brazilian seems to have found himself and is one of the team’s highlights in recent games.

According to Sofascorein the last six matches played, Rafael Navarro found the net four times and contributed one assist, totaling five goal appearances.

Still in this period, the athlete who belongs to Palmeiras finished 10 times (six on goal), converted 100% of his clear chances to score a goal (4/4) and suffered two penalties. Furthermore, he has an average of 2.5 shots to score a goal.

One of the goals scored by Rafael Navarro was in the game against Inter Miami, a team that has great stars of world football, such as Messi, Suárez, Sérgio Busquets and Jordi Alba, all ex-Barcelona. On that occasion, the match ended in a 2-2 draw, with the Argentine number 10 scoring one of the Miami team’s goals.

Navarro’s loan contract with the Colorado Rapids is valid until June 30 of this year. The North American team has the option, at the end of the agreement, to buy 80% of the center forward’s rights for 5 million dollars (around R$26.4 million).

Currently, the Colorado Rapids are fifth in the MLS Western Conference, with 12 points, just three behind the leader Los Angeles Galaxy. The team’s next match will be this Saturday, against FC Dallas.
