NHL sets record for season attendance, surpassing last year’s figures
The matches of the regular championship of the National Hockey League (NHL) in the 2023/2024 season were attended by 22,560,634 people. This was reported on the league website.
Thus, a new attendance record was set; last season, 22,436,532 fans attended the matches. At the same time, the achievement will definitely be updated, since the current regular season is not over yet. The last matches will take place on the night of Friday, April 19.
It is clarified that this season the arenas hosting NHL matches are filled to an average of 97 percent. The statistics included outdoor games as well as matches played in Sweden.
