The future of Ousmane Dembele must be defined soon. According to the French portal Footmercato, the striker decided to stay at Barcelona and is not available to hear other proposals.
The player has a contract with the culés until January of next year and could sign with another club from January 1st.
Despite Dembele speaking directly to Xavi and Laporta, president of Barcelona, his intention to remain in the team, his manager postpones the renewal of the contract. Now, it seems that the player himself took the initiative to extend the bond.
An agreement remains to be reached in economic terms, as the striker’s initial claims are not within the reach of the club’s delicate economic situation.
Also according to the vehicle from France, the way out would be to sign a short contract, of just two seasons.
Dembele was bought by the Catalan team in 2017, when he left Borussia Dortmund for €135 million (R$866.7 million currently). It is the most expensive signing in the history of the Spanish club, alongside Philippe Coutinho.
