This Tuesday morning, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) announced that the match between Al-Hilal, led by Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus, and Al Ain was postponed until Wednesday, at 1pm (Brasília time). The match valid for the first leg of the Asian Champions League semi-final was due to be played this Tuesday, at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium, but was suspended due to heavy rain and bad weather conditions in the United Arab Emirates.

The strong storms greatly affected the United Arab Emirates, causing flooding on the main roads, with the closure of roads and bridges. The country’s authorities asked the population not to leave their homes due to the weather conditions.
“The UAE Football Association has suspended all football activities this Tuesday, taking into account the safety of all fans, players and interested parties,” the AFC said in an official statement.
Al-Hilal has won 34 games in a row, a record in football. The team led by coach Jorge Jesus, ex-Flamengo, can further extend the historic mark this Wednesday, as they are favorites for the clash.
