Arsenal appears to be interested in signing Ousmane Diomande, from Sporting, for next season. The 20-year-old defender is an old wish for the English club, which should invest in the athlete, as reported by the Portuguese newspaper The gamethis Tuesday.
Diomande has a contract with Sporting until June 2027 and a termination clause of approximately R$440 million. According to O Jogo, the Portuguese club is only willing to negotiate for values close to the price of the clause.
To count on Diomande, Arteta will need to overcome competition from Chelsea and Bayern Munich, who also appear to be interested in the athlete’s football.
According to the Portuguese newspaper, Arsenal has been monitoring the Ivorian defender since the player played for the youth teams of Midtjylland, in Denmark.

In Portugal, he played 50 games, scored four goals and even provided an assist.
Sporting returns to the field this Tuesday, at 4:45 pm (Brasília time), when it visits Famalicão in a delayed game of the 20th round of the Portuguese Championship.
