Roma defender Even Ndicka, who fell ill on the pitch during the match against Udinese last Sunday, has left Udine hospital after undergoing further medical examinations which indicated that he does not suffer from “any cardiac pathology”, the club announced. his club this Monday.

“The first and second level cardiological examinations carried out did not reveal any cardiac pathology,” Roma said in its statement.

“Based on the latest exams on Monday morning, the clinical picture is compatible with chest trauma with minimal left pneumothorax,” the team added.

Ndicka was allowed to leave the hospital to return to the capital, where “later” further tests will be carried out, the Italian team said, without providing any estimate on when the player will return to training.

On Sunday, the 24-year-old Ivorian defender suffered an illness around 25 minutes into the second half in the game against Udinese, in a duel valid for the 32nd round of the Italian Championship.

He complained of severe pain in the chest area and the first scenes were very nervous.

Despite this, the player remained conscious throughout and was taken to the stadium’s infirmary. He was later transferred to Udine hospital.

After a conversation between the referees and representatives of both teams, the match was suspended. The remaining 20 minutes will be played on a date to be defined.
