Liverpool sees entire season collapse in less than 30 days

This Sunday (14) Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool lost to Crystal Palace at Anfield and saw their Premier League title chances diminish. Furthermore, the team is already eliminated in the FA Cup and will have to reverse a three-goal difference in the Europa League against Atalanta.

The first major setback came on March 17, when the Reds were eliminated by their biggest rival, Manchester United, in the FA Cup. In a very busy game, the Red Devils won 4-3 and advanced to the stage.

Last Thursday (11), the English welcomed Atalanta to Anfield for the first match of the Europa League quarter-finals. The result was an Italian rout. A resounding 4-0 that makes Liverpool’s life in the competition very complicated.

The negative score against Crystal Palace ended the Reds’ 14-round run at the top of the English Championship. The team of stars like Salah and Van Dijk are in third place now. Added to this, with Arsenal’s defeat at home to Aston Villa, and Manchester City’s victory over Luton Town last Saturday, the tendency is for the Citizens to go strong towards another national title.

It is worth noting that Liverpool and Klopp have already announced that they will not continue together next season. The German coach opted to leave after almost nine years at the helm of the Anfield club.
