Moscow Spartak will fire its head coach, Spaniard Guillermo Abascal. This was reported by sources of the “Championship” and “Bookmakers Rating”.
It is noted that the specialist has already said goodbye to the team. Vladimir Sliskovich will act as head coach.
On April 7, journalist Ivan Karpov reported that the management of Spartak had already decided to fire head coach Guillermo Abascal. Former head coach of the Russian national team Stanislav Cherchesov, former Krasnodar coach Vladimir Ivich and Braga coach Arthur Jorge are named as contenders for the post.
Abaskal will head Spartak in the summer of 2022. In the 2022/2023 season, the team led by the Spaniard became the bronze medalist of the Russian Championship. After 23 rounds of the current national championship, the club is in sixth position.
