Saturday reserved a double round in Ligue 1. Strasbourg hosted Reims and won 3-1 in a match held at the Stade de la Meinau. Afterwards, Toulouse visited the Rennes team and surprised the home team by winning 2-1 at the Roazhon Park stadium.
In the first game of the day, Reims opened the scoring with a goal from Keito Nakamura seven minutes into the first half, but Kévin Gameiro equalized from the penalty spot before half-time. In the second half, with goals from Abakar Sylla and Moise Sahi, Strasbourg secured the victory.
With 36 points gained, Strasbourg rose to 12th place and opened a gap of 10 points to the relegation zone. Reims remains with 40 points in seventh place, still fighting for a place in European competitions next season.
In the second match, Désiré Doué opened the scoring against Rennes. However, two minutes later, Cristian Cásseres equalized for Toulouse. At 32, Moussa Diarra scored and definitively turned the result for the visitors.
With the triumph, Toulouse reached 39 points and moved up to 11th place. Rennes stayed on 39 points and in ninth place, still fighting for a place in European competitions in 2025.
