Zhirkov: for the emergence of a “Russian Mbappe”, Africans must give birth to children in Russia
Former Russian national team player Yuri Zhirkov called a way to raise a “Russian Mbappe.” His words are quoted by Bookmakers Rating.
“If there is some kind of Olympics in Russia and athletes come from Africa, then it will appear,” the ex-athlete joked. He added that in order to produce a top football player, African athletes must come to Russia and give birth to children here.
Mbappe is the 2018 world champion with the French national team, winner of the Nations League, and six-time French champion with PSG and Monaco. The transfer value of the 25-year-old footballer is estimated at 180 million euros.
