It is intended to be aimed at people in need whose housing conditions are unsuitable for living. In addition to problems such as the poor technical condition of their homes, they often also struggle with other difficulties, including financial ones. Helplessness and the problems that result from it usually have strong connections with the participants’ past experiences.
Such a case was Mrs. Basia, who, together with her partner Michał and two sons, Olek and Oskar, appeared in the 11th episode of the 22nd edition, broadcast on April 10, 2024. In an interview, she admitted directly that she wanted to improve her life situation mainly with her children in mind. She had a very difficult childhood herself and didn’t want her children to go through the same thing. What is her story?

It turned out that the woman was raised in a large family until she was 4 years old, and then she and her six siblings were taken to an emergency care facility. – Mom, when they took us into those ambulances, she was simply not there – with tears, adding that the decision was made mainly by her father, explaining that it was “for their good”. – She didn’t want to show up at all, show up or say goodbye. She didn’t want to look at it, she recalled.
The story moved the host of the program, whose eyes also became teary. However, this was not the end of the story about the woman’s difficult experiences. After staying in an orphanage for half a year, there was a couple who wanted to adopt her. She believed that she would finally feel love and warmth in their home, but it didn’t happen. – There was no such love, there was no such thing as me coming and hugging her – she said. – There were no emotions between us that I, as a five-year-old child, wanted to have – she said. At this point, Romanowska couldn’t stand it and tears flowed down her cheeks. Only when the emotions subsided did she assured that she would make every effort to make the life of Mrs. Basia and her sons better than before.
