Deputy Minister of Sports Odes Baysultanov called the head of the IOC Bach an incomprehensible creature
Deputy Minister of Sports of Russia Odes Baysultanov criticized the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
Baysultanov called Bach an incomprehensible creature. “Someone under the name Bach is trying to throw some dice, but who is he? We created it, in case everyone forgot!” – he said, adding that Russian athletes need to unite around the Friendship Games.
Earlier on April 12, State Duma deputy Svetlana Zhurova proposed changing the format of the Olympic Games. She believed that all athletes should participate in competitions without anthems and flags.
Russians and Belarusians will be able to take part in the 2024 Olympics as individual neutral athletes by decision of the International Olympic Committee. However, athletes who support a special operation in Ukraine, as well as those who have connections with the armed forces or security agencies of Russia and Belarus, will miss the tournament. In addition, there will be no representatives of the two countries’ team sports in Paris.
