Viktor Gyokeres was elected, this Tuesday, the best player of the month of March in the Portuguese Championship. Top scorer for leaders Sporting, the Swedish striker scored five goals in four games during that period.
The Portuguese club won all the matches it played in March for the Portuguese Championship. Viktor Gyokeres scored in the 3-2 win over Farense, scored and assisted in the 3-0 win over Arouca and also saved a goal hat-trick and provided an assist in the 6-1 victory over Boa Vista.
Viktor only participated in goals in the 2-1 victory over Estrela Amadora.

In the vote promoted by the Players’ Union, Gyokeres beat Jota Silva, from Vitória de Guimarães, and Rafa Mújica, from Arouca, to win the award. The Swedish striker had already been voted the best player in August and September.
The player is the top scorer in the Portuguese Championship, with 22 goals scored, and also distributed ten assists in the competition.
Leader with 71 points, four points more than 2nd place, Sporting returns to the field this Friday, at 4:15 pm (Brasília time), away from home against Gil Vicente, for the 29th round of the Portuguese Championship.
