In search of a new coach for next season, Liverpool and Rúben Amorim, from Sporting, Portugal, would have a verbal agreement to make the Portuguese Jurgen Kloop’s successor, according to the Sky Sports Germany.
Despite having a contract with Sporting until 2026, Rúben Amorim has a clause in his contract that allows him to leave the club in the summer transfer window. According to the German newspaper, Liverpool are willing to pay a fee to hire the coach.
The agreement between the English club and Amorim would be for a three-year contract, still in accordance with the Sky Sports.

Xabi Alonso was the first option to fill Kloop’s position, but the Spaniard announced that he will remain at Bayer Leverkusen for next season, forcing the English team to explore other names on the market.
Rúben Amorim would also be in the sights of Bayern Munich, who have already announced Thomas Tuchel’s departure at the end of this season.
The 39-year-old coach arrived at Sporting in March 2020. In addition to winning the Portuguese League Cup twice, Amorim led the club to its first victory in the Portuguese Championship in 19 years, in 2021.
This season, the coach is close to repeating the feat. With six rounds left in the championship, Sporting leads the competition with 71 points, four more than Benfica and still with one game in hand.
