Panarin broke Malkin and Ovechkin’s records for most points in a single NHL season
Russian forward of the New York Rangers Artemy Panarin scored a goal and made three assists in the regular season match of the National Hockey League (NHL) against the Montreal Canadiens. His statistics are available on the league website.
The meeting ended with the Rangers winning with a score of 5:2. Panarin scored 115 points (46+69) this season. He surpassed the records of Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin and Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin for the most points scored in a single NHL season.
On March 27, Panarin scored 100 points in a season in the NHL for the first time in his career. It took him 72 matches to achieve this.
Panarin, 32, has been with the Rangers since 2019. The Russian’s contract with the club for a total amount of $81.5 million runs until 2026.
