With Murillo’s own goal, Tottenham beats Nottingham Forest and enters the English G4

Tottenham beat Nottingham Forest 3-1 this Sunday, in London, in the 32nd round of the English Championship. The goals of the match were scored by Murillo (own goal), Pedro Porre and Micky van de Ven for the home team and Chris Wood for the visitors

With the result, Spurs take fourth place in the competition, with 60 points from 31 games. The London team is in the Champions League qualifying zone and is competing for the spot with Aston Villa (fifth place), who also have 60 points, but one game more. Nottingham Forest occupies 17th place, with 25 points, and continues to fight against relegation.

Tottenham visits Newcastle next Saturday, at 8:30 am (Brasília time), for the 33rd round of the Premier League. While Nottingham Forest host Wolverhampton on the same day, at 11 am.

Tottenham started the match with pressure and opened the scoring 15 minutes into the first half. Timo Werner advanced from the left and crossed low, Brazilian defender Murillo tried to cut it, but ended up touching his own goal.

Nottingham Forest reacted quickly after the goal conceded and equalized in the 27th minute of the opening stage. After a good exchange of passes, Anthony Elanga played the ball with Neco Williams, received the ball in the area on the right and passed it to Chris Wood, who finished in the left corner to find the net.

The home team started the second half attacking a lot and after six minutes they took the lead again. Micky van de Ven received a pass from Son on the edge of the area, adjusted it and shot hard into the goal.

Tottenham maintained the pressure, and then increased it. In the 12th minute of the final stage, James Maddison crossed from the left, Rodrigo Bentancur deflected it and the ball fell to Pedro Porro, who finished first to score the last goal of the game.
