Hockey player Kucherov became the first Russian to score 130 points in an NHL season
Russian forward of the Tampa Bay Lightning Nikita Kucherov gave three assists in the regular season match of the National Hockey League (NHL) against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Statistics are available on the league website.
The meeting ended with Tampa’s victory with a score of 4:1. Kucherov scored 130 (42+88) points this season. He became the first Russian in history to achieve this. The previous record also belonged to the forward and was 128 points in the 2018/2019 season.
Kucherov continues to lead the NHL’s top scorer race. He is four points ahead of Canadian Colorado League forward Nathan MacKinnon, who has 127 points.
Kucherov has been playing for Tampa since 2013. Together with the team, the Russian won the Stanley Cup twice.
