Fluminense left-back Marcelo chose the 11 best players he has played with at the beginning of this week. The team was filled with Real Madrid players and also included some Brazilians.
In a podcast interview Underfoot, Marcelo chose as coaches Zinedine Zidane and Fernando Diniz, the left-back’s current coach at Fluminense. Furthermore, he also said that Carlo Ancelotti would be “back there, sitting, just organizing”.
In the goal, the athlete mentioned Iker Casillas, Diego López, Thibaut Courtois and Fábio, but ended up choosing Costa Rican Keylor Navas because he had “a very good relationship”. The defense line was formed by Rafinha on the right side, Sergio Ramos and Thiago Silva, as defenders, and Roberto Carlos on the left side.
For midfield, Marcelo chose the trio that won four Champions Leagues together for Real Madrid: Casemiro, Luka Modrić and Toni Kroos. Finally, the full-back chose Ronaldo Nazário, Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo for the attack. Asked why he left Ronaldinho out, he praised Neymar.
“I prefer Neymar. After Messi and Cristiano, for me, there is Neymar.”
