Fitness trainer Donovan Green spoke about a condition called gluteal amnesia and its dangers. The expert’s words are quoted by Huff Post.
According to Green, this condition occurs due to prolonged sitting and is characterized by impaired functioning of the gluteus medius muscle. “This can lead to hip pain, lower back pain and ankle problems. The buttocks will not work properly even with exercises that target them,” Green noted.
Trainer Jeff Bell talked about ways to prevent gluteal amnesia. “You need to keep yourself active and healthy. If you sit for a long time, take breaks to stand up, stretch and walk around,” the specialist noted.
On March 29, fitness trainer Zana Morris named the ideal exercise for quickly burning belly fat. Morris called push-ups a similar exercise.
