According to Ceravalli, such a turn of events could lead to the postponement of the Olympics from 2022 to 2023.
On December 20, Match TV reported that the NHL leadership refused to let players into the Beijing Olympics due to an increase in the number of cases of coronavirus infection in the league. The decision was expected to be supported by the Players’ Association – the league’s hockey union.
