Fans who were watching the duel between Arsenal and Chelsea, in the women’s FA Cup final, this Sunday, suffered a huge scare. Frida Maanum, midfielder for the Gunners, collapsed on the field and had to be rescued by the medical team from both teams.
The Norwegian fell on the field alone and caused despair among those present at Molineux Stadium. Upon realizing the situation, the players on the field quickly called for the game to be stopped and called for medical help.
The game was stopped for around seven minutes and was only resumed after Frida left the field on a stretcher, wearing an oxygen mask. On social media, Arsenal provided support and updated the player’s situation.
“Frida is conscious, talkative and in a stable condition. She will continue to be closely monitored by our medical team. We are all with you, Frida,” it was written.
