O cruise defined the athletes who will be available to compete in the 2024 Copa Sudamericana. This Sunday, the Belo Horizonte club revealed the names registered for the competition that it never won – it reached, with its best campaign, the round of 16 on two occasions.
It will be Cruzeiro’s seventh participation in the Copa Sudamericana. The team is part of group B, alongside Alianza FC, from Colombia, Unión La Calera, from Chile, and Universidad Catolica, from Ecuador, the latter’s opponent for its debut on Thursday, away from home.
Among those registered there are several names from the base that can be used by coach Nicolás Larcamón: goalkeepers Otávio (Under-20), Marcelo (Under-20); defenders Dorival (Under-20), Victor Jesus (Under-20), Bruno Alves (Under-20); midfielders Alessandro (Under-17), Henrique Silva (Under-20), Jhosefer (Under-20), Matheus Xavier (Under-20), Gui Meira (Under-20), Rhuan Gabriel (Under-20), Nicolas Pontes (Under-20), Baptistella (Under-17) and Murilo Rhikman (Under-20); and strikers Tevis (Under-20), Ruan Índio (Under-20), Arthur Viana (Under-20), Kaique Kenji (Under-20) and Gustavo Zago (Under-20).
