Ovechkin’s wife Shubskaya was upset because of her husband’s unrealized shootout
Washington Capitals captain and forward Alexander Ovechkin scored no points in the National Hockey League (NHL) regular season match against the Boston Bruins. This was reported by a Lenta.ru correspondent.
The meeting ended in a shootout with a score of 3:2. Ovechkin was unable to convert his shot in the post-match series. After this, the reaction of his wife Anastasia Shubskaya was broadcast – she shook her head in frustration.
Ovechkin failed to score for the third game in a row. In total, this season the Russian played 70 matches, in which he scored 26 goals and 32 assists.
Ovechkin, 38, ranks second on the list of all-time leading scorers in NHL history. He is 46 goals away from the record of leading Canadian Wayne Gretzky.
