Racism is once again on the agenda in Spanish football. Acuña and Quique Flores, both from Sevillaand Cheikh Sarr, from Rayo Majadahonda (Spanish third division), suffered insulted racists, in this Saturday. Vinicius Junior, a prominent figure in the anti-racist fight, came out in defense of the players, in his account on X (old Twitter), and stated that racists must be exposed and matches stopped in this situation.
“I’m not even going to play this weekend. But we had three despicable cases of racism this Saturday alone in Spain. All my support for Acuña and coach Quique Flores, from Sevilla. To Sarr and Rayo Majadahonda, may their bravery inspire others. The racists must be exposed and the games cannot continue with them in the stands”, said the Brazilian.

Vinicius Junior will not be in the Merengues’ clash against Athletic Bilbao for the Spanish Championship, this Sunday. The player is subject to an automatic suspension after receiving yellow cards against Valencia, Celta de Vigo and Osasuna, in the last round.
