Bayern Munich was beaten by Borussia Dortmund this Saturday, 2-0, at the Allianz Arena, in the 27th round of the German Championship. The visiting team’s winning goals were scored by Adeyemi and Ryerson.
The defeat further separated Bayern from leaders Bayer Leverkusen, who won in the round and opened up 13 points to the Bavarian team. The home team remains in second place with 60 points won.
With the victory, Borussia Dortmund surpassed RB Leipzig in the table and took fourth place, with 53 points.
Both teams return to the field this Saturday, for the 28th round of Alemão. Bayern faces Heidenheim, while Borussia faces Stuttgart.
Borussia Dortmund surprised and opened the scoring 10 minutes into the first half. Adeyemi received a pass from Brandt, invaded the area and saved it for goalkeeper Ulreich, who let the ball escape and die in the back of the goal.
After the goal conceded, Bayern threw themselves into the attack in search of a draw. The home team developed good opportunities, but were unable to break through Borussia’s defense.
In the second half, Bayern continued to put pressure on Borussia in search of the equalizer. However, it was the visiting team that found the net, in the 37th minute, with Ryerson. The full-back received it from Haller and hit a cross to extend the game’s score.
Bayern did not throw in the towel and, in the 43rd minute, Harry Kane, with a header, scored for the home team. However, the goal was disallowed after VAR confirmed the scorer’s irregular position.
