Xavi Hernández, technician of Barcelona, informed, in a press conference prior to the game against UD Las Palmas, that he will sue two journalists. The Spaniard stated that he understands the criticism regarding his work, however he claimed that he will not tolerate lies.
“It’s true that I’m going to sue them. Nothing like that has ever happened in my career. I can understand the criticism, but I won’t tolerate falsehoods. They told huge lies, that’s enough,” said the coach in an interview.

The communicators in question are Javier Miguel and Manuel Jabois. The cases refer to two statements that, according to Xavi, are lies. The first has to do with a report that stated that, inside the Barcelona dressing room, there was a ‘mole’, that is, someone who shared team information with the press.
The other concerns Manuel Jabois, a Spanish journalist from The country, who claimed that the coach sent him private messages in a hostile tone after the first game against Napoli, for Champions League. The information was denied by sources close to the Barcelona commander at the time, with the reporter in question later backtracking on his claims.
This Saturday, at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium, Barça hosts UD Las Palmas, at 5pm (Brasília time), for the 30th round of the Spanish Championship. In second place, the Catalans seek to reduce the eight-point gap in relation to Real Madridwhich has 72 units.
