National Hockey League (NHL) club Philadelphia Flyers on its social network account X announced the transfer of Russian goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov.

The goalkeeper was presented with a photograph in the uniform of the Russian national team. On March 28, the management of CSKA Moscow terminated the contract with Fedotov, who served in the army a year earlier. At the same time, the red-blues announced that they retained the sports rights to the player in Russia.

The Moscow army team completed their performance in the current Gagarin Cup. In the first round of the playoffs, they lost to Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in five matches.

Fedotov’s last attempt to move to Philadelphia failed, this happened in the summer of 2022. The Russian was supposed to go to the United States, but he was detained on suspicion of evading military service. After this, the athlete was sent to serve in the Russian Navy.
