Jorgenson has been the best in a test in which two of the great favorites for victory, his teammate Wout van Aert and Mads Pedersen (Lidl-Trek)have suffered, along with other runners, a dropwhich has prevented them from finishing the race and which puts in doubt the participation of both cyclists in the Return to Flandersscheduled for this Sunday, the 31st.

Jorgenson, who is in great form, attacked seven kilometers from the finish line, which was located in Waregem, and obtained the victory alone, with Jonas Abrahamsen (Uno-X), Stefan Kung (Groupama), Tiesj Benoot (Visma) and Dries De Bondt (Decathlon) at 29 seconds.

The fall that affected, among other runners, Van Aert and Pedersen, was recorded 67 kilometers from the end of the race. Oier Lazkano (Movistar), second in the 2023 Across Flanders, has had no chance of being among the first classified, since he has not been able to sneak into the group of eleven men that played for victory in the decisive stretch of the day.
