In this match, Pepe became the player with the most games alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, with 343 games, passing Karim Benzema.

With the victory, the Slovenian team reaches its fourth game without knowing what it’s like to lose. In the period, there are three wins and one draw.

Portugal will only return to the pitch on June 4th to face Finland, at the José Alvalade Stadium, at 3:45 pm (Brasília time), in a friendly match. On the same day, also in a friendly match, Slovenia will host Armenia, at 12pm, at the Stadion Stozice.

In the first stage, both teams went blank. However, in the 27th minute of the second half, Slovenia opened the scoring with Adam Cerin, who received the ball on the edge of the area and scored with Benjamin Sesko. When he was activated again, in depth, the midfielder played with his right foot into the back of the net, as the goalkeeper left.

Slovenia grew in the match and scored again in the 35th minute. After a well-worked play on the left, Petar Stojanovic passed it to Timi Elsnik, who, inside the penalty area, shot hard into the goalkeeper’s top left corner.
