O Barcelona shows great desire to keep the Portuguese duo João Cancelo and João Félix in its squad. The club’s president, Joan Laporta, gave an interview to the official Barça channel and detailed the operation that the Catalans intend to carry out to continue with the two athletes for the coming seasons.
Laporta reinforced that, in the case of Cancelo, Barcelona has already set a price for the negotiation, but the situation with João Félix needs a little more caution. The president pointed out that, whether through loan or permanent contract, the team wants the athletes to remain for the future.

“The cases are quite similar, but Cancelo’s situation is more advanced in terms of price; with João Félix we have not yet defined the price and we are waiting. We want him to continue, he has an exceptional class, and Cancelo has become a starter”, Laporta said.
In an interview with the Spanish newspaper Sports world, the top hat stated that the offer for the right-back was handed over to the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes. However, negotiations require approval from the Manchester Citythe club that holds Cancelo’s economic rights.
