Saavedra from Sochi said that he does not see much difference in life in Russia and Chile
Chilean midfielder of the Sochi football club Ignacio Saavedra compared life in Russia and at home. His words are quoted by RB Sport.
According to a foreign football player from a Russian Premier League (RPL) club, he doesn’t see much of a difference. “Sochi personally reminds me very much of our cities. The only thing is that here the city seemed very calm and safe to me, whereas in Chile there are areas in which it is dangerous to walk at night,” Saavedra said.
The athlete also compared prices in the two countries. “The prices are the same, plus or minus, perhaps because of changes in the exchange rate, food prices in Russia are cheaper,” he added.
The 25-year-old footballer joined the Sochi squad in January of this year and played two matches for the new team in the Russian Championship. He signed as a free agent from Universidad Catolica.
