With Félix Torres as starter, Ecuador loses to Italy in a friendly

This Sunday, Italy defeated Ecuador in a friendly played at the Red Bull Arena, in the United States. With defender Félix Torres, from Corinthians, in the starting line-up, the South American team lost 2-0.

Italy thus ends the FIFA date with two victories, as they defeated Venezuela 2-1 last week. Ecuador, in turn, beat Guatemala 2-0 before defeating the Europeans.

Before debuting in Group B of the European Championship, Italy will play two more friendlies in June: against Turkey, at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium, and against Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the Carlo Castellani Stadium.

Ecuador’s next game will be their Copa América debut, against Venezuela, also in June, at Levi’s Stadium. The team is in Group B alongside Jamaica and Mexico, in addition to Venezuela.

Just 2 minutes into the game this Sunday, with a free kick, Dimarco hit the wall and, on the rebound, Pellegrini hit the first time to open the score. At 49 of the second half, in a counterattack, Orsolini launched Barella, who scored with a dig, past the goalkeeper.
