777 Partners, a group that acquired 70% of Vasco in 2022, he is just a few details away from taking over Everton, who compete in the first division of the English Championship. The Premier League, the governing body of the English league, is about to approve such a purchase.
777 reached an agreement with the club’s majority shareholder, Farhad Moshiri, who owns 94% of the club, in September 2023. Since then, it has been awaiting permission from the English league to complete the deal. In addition, the process will also undergo approval by an independent committee.

If the purchase is confirmed, Everton will be the seventh football club in the investment group. In addition to Vasco, 777 invests in Sevilla (Spain), Standard Liege (Belgium), Red Star (France), Hertha Berlin (Germany) and Genoa (Italy).
Moshiri, current owner of Everton, has been in charge since 2016 and, despite investing more than 750 million pounds (more than 4.7 billion reais), fans have been protesting against his stay since last season. Even with all this money, Everton have not won a trophy for almost 30 years (the last was in the 1995/96 season)
From the 2016/17 season onwards (with Moshiri at the club), Everton never finished higher than sixth in the Premier League. This season, the club lost six points due to breaking sustainability rules and fair play league finances.
At the moment, they are in 18th place in the English Championship, being the first club within the relegation zone. It is worth remembering that Everton never fell into the Premier League (founded in 1992) and has been in the elite of English football for 70 years, since 1954.
