SKA won the first match in the quarterfinal series of the Gagarin Cup with Avtomobilist. This was reported by a Lenta.ru correspondent.
The fourth meeting of the teams in the second round of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) playoffs took place in Yekaterinburg. The confrontation ended with the victory of the guests with a score of 5:2. Among the winners, Vasily Glotov, Alexander Galchenyuk, Nikita Kamalov and Marat Khairullin scored goals. The hosts scored goals from Stefan Da Costa and Alexey Makeev.
The score in the series up to four wins became 3-1 in favor of Avtomobilist. The next match is scheduled for March 25 and should take place in St. Petersburg.
St. Petersburg SKA won the Gagarin Cup twice – in 2015 and 2017. Avtomobilist has never won a trophy in history.
