With a goal from an Atlético-MG striker, Chile defeats Albania in a friendly

This Friday, Chile faced Albania in a friendly at the Ennio Tardini stadium, in Parma, Italy. The Chileans won 3-0, with goals from Eduardo Vargas, Marcos Bolados and Victor Dávilla.

The friendly served as preparation for the competitions that the two teams will play in the middle of the year. Chile is in group A of the Copa América, along with Peru, Argentina and Canada or Trinidad and Tobago, who face each other this Saturday for a place in the group stage. Albania, in turn, will compete in group B of the European Championship, together with Spain, Croatia and Italy.

This was the teams’ first commitment on that FIFA date. Chile still faces France this Tuesday, at 5 pm (Brasília time), at the Vélodrome stadium, in Marseille, France. The Albanian team faces Sweden this Monday, at 3 pm, at the Friends Arena, in Solna, Sweden.

The first goal was scored by Eduardo Vargas, from Atlético-MG, in the 19th minute of the first half. The attacker took advantage of a surplus ball inside the area and hit it first time to open the score. In the 38th minute of the second half, after a good exchange of passes on the left side, Victor Dávilla set up Marcos Bolados, who had just entered, to score the second goal of the game.

In stoppage time, after another play on the left side, Dávilla received the ball from Bereton Díaz at the edge of the area and scored the third goal, guaranteeing the victory for the Chilean team.
