Harry Kane, England striker, is out of the friendly against Brazil

Striker Harry Kane is out of the friendly against Brazil this Saturday, in London, due to a sprained ankle. The athlete is even a “very serious doubt” for the game against Belgium next week, the English team said this Friday.

Kane was injured in Bayern Munich’s 5-2 victory over Darmstadt last weekend in the Bundesliga.

England manager Gareth Southgate chose not to take risks with his main star.

“Tomorrow [sábado]without Harry Kane, without Jordan Henderson, without Cole Palmer”, said Southgate in an interview on the eve of the friendly.

The top scorer will not be the team’s only absence for the duel with the Seleção, as midfielder Jordan Henderson, from Ajax, and Cole Palmer, from Chelsea, are also out of the match.

“I would say that Cole and Hendo [Henderson] They have a better chance of playing against Belgium than Kane. He is a very serious doubt for this game”, admitted the coach.

On Thursday, England confirmed that Arsenal striker Bukayo Saka will also be absent from the friendlies.

The duel against Belgium, which will also be at Wembley, next Tuesday, will be the last for the English team before Southgate reveals the squad list for the European Championship in Germany (14 June – 14 July) in May.
