Before the Brazilian team’s training session this Friday, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) renewed its sponsorship with Cimed, a pharmaceutical company that has sponsored Brazil since 2015, for the next World Cup cycle. Ednaldo Rodrigues, president of the CBF, and João Adibe Marques, president of the sponsor, signed the contract at Wembley.
“It is an honor for CBF to renew its partnership with a traditional supporter of Brazilian football. We are happy to expand the agreement, even better than the previous one, which began in 2015. This renewal shows the confidence that the market has in Brazilian football and the CBF brand”, stated Ednaldo Rodrigues.
“Cimed is a great supporter of national sport and a supporter of the National Team, which symbolizes one of Brazilians’ greatest passions, football. We decided to renew this partnership because we see this new cycle of the team, with the arrival of coach Dorival Jr, with great optimism . Football is much more than winning or losing. It’s about our culture and the connection between people. This says a lot about Cimed’s DNA, supporting our partners and customers in moments of glory and also of challenges”, he explained the president of Cimed, João Adibe Marques.
This Friday, the pharmaceutical industry will launch a limited edition lip balm, featuring the Canarinho mascot. The product, which aims to engage Brazilians in their passion for football, will be a tribute to the Brazilian team. Around 50 thousand units will be distributed to the public at each national team game played in Brazil throughout this year. The product, however, will not be sold.
Brazil faces England this Saturday, at 4 pm (Brasília time), at Wembley Stadium, in England, in the first FIFA friendly match of March. After that, the Seleção faces Spain, in Madrid, on Tuesday.
